- 2 oz. silver tequila
- 1 oz. lime juice (freshly squeezed is best)
- 1 oz. triple sec (or orange liqueur)
- 1 oz. simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup ice
- Coarse salt or sugar for the rim (optional)
- Lime wedges for garnish
- Fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Run a lime wedge along the rim of your glass and dip it into coarse salt or sugar, if desired.
- Place fresh strawberries in a blender and blend until smooth (or pulse for a chunkier texture).
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the strawberry puree, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup. Add ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- Fill your prepared glass with ice and strain the margarita mixture into the glass.
- Garnish with a fresh strawberry and a lime wedge. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, substitute tequila with sparkling water and triple sec with orange juice. Adjust sweetness to your preference using agave nectar or stevia.
