- 500ml (2 cups) filtered water
- 2 tablespoons dried butterfly pea flowers
- 1 tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar (with “the mother”)
- Juice of half a lemon or lime
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric (optional)
- A pinch of black pepper (optional)
- A sprig of fresh mint (optional)
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
- 1 teaspoon stevia (optional, as a sweetener alternative)
Instructions
- Bring 500ml (2 cups) of filtered water to a rolling boil in a small saucepan.
- Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons dried butterfly pea flowers. Steep for 10 minutes until vibrant blue.
- Strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer into a glass pitcher or container.
- Add 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, juice of half a lemon, and 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger to the infusion.
- Optionally stir in 1 teaspoon raw honey or stevia for sweetness.
- Serve warm or pour over ice. Garnish with mint, a slice of lemon, or a cinnamon stick if desired.
Notes
For best results, consume daily at the same time. Avoid overheating the vinegar and lemon to preserve their benefits. Always dilute ACV and consult with a healthcare provider if on medication.
